SACLAT
SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE COMMUNITY- LEVEL APPROPRIATE TECHNOLOGY has been the focal program of PNFSP. This program aims to improve the food security situation of farming communities by providing training in agriculture, technical assistance and PO capacity building. SACLAT continually undertakes research and development of sustainable agriculture and appropriate technologies that are low-cost, uses indigenous practices/ materials, and adaptive to the community.
CAN
CAMPAIGN, ADVOCACY & NETWORKING. The program aims to advance PNFSP’s efforts in terms of campaign, advocacy and networking, highlighting the common food security related issues faced by its member organizations: mining, land-grabbing, climate change, rice importation, genetically modified products, and others. PNFSP participates in national and international platforms to deliver the network’s stand on issues. Among the platforms PNFSP participate with are Resist AgroChem TNC’s, Green Action PH and Stop Golden Rice Network.
ICD
THE INSTITUTIONAL CAPACITY DEVELOPMENT (ICD) program conducts members’ training to ensure that the members are fully capable in implementing their activities. Among the trainings implemented are technical writing, social research and advocacy and campaign management.
CLDPR
COMMUNITY LEVEL DISASTER PREPAREDNESS & RESILIENCY (CLDPR) has been PNFSP’s response to climate induced and man made disasters. This project provides services thru psychosocial intervention, relief and rehabilitation, PO building and capacity enhancement, training in sustainable agriculture, disaster preparedness, health training in common diseases and malnutrition. This is a rights based approach to attain basic right to food, safety and well-being.
